Responsible For
Job Description
Work closely with BOs, POs and other IT department personnel to design, develop and maintain business applications that effectively support the NYL/Tampa business
Provide recommendations on methodology and development improvements throughout our SDLC process
Act as the development lead on mid-sized website enhancement projects, leveraging built-in Sitecore features to enable testing, drive traffic, and grow our sales
Collaborate with peer developers, QA, and architecture to find creative and elegant solutions to improve the current state of our applications while also designing for our future state
Perform complex and varied programming based on specifications, utilizing appropriate development tools and industry best practices (i.e., Sitecore, C#, .NET, Headless, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, MSSQL, MuleSoft, etc.)
Actively look for performance improvements across our applications including our end user experiences
Qualifications
5+ years of web development experience (.Net, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, MVC)
Experience leading development projects including the ability to coordinate through the full project life cycle, while including end-users, vendors and other IT’ staff
Strong analysis and design skills with a focus on system design and flow
Experience with designing and implementing high volume, mission critical, productions systems
Must be a team player and a good communicator
Experience with SCRUM/Agile development methodologies
Self-starter with the ability to learn through on-the-job experience
3-5 years of experience working in object-oriented analysis, design, and development
3-5 years of experience working with relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle)
Experience with Source control tools (Bitbucket/GIT)
Experience writing Integration and Unit test while developing
Desired but not required qualifications
Experience in the Life Insurance or Financial industry
MuleSoft API development
Experience developing modular components within Sitecore 10 using helix principles
