About the Role:

 

As the Maintenance Manager, you will report directly to the Plant Manager.

You will lead and mentor a team of 26 reports (4 direct, 22 indirect).

You will drive efficiency and excellence in maintenance systems and practices, at this highly valued manufacturing plant.

 

Collaborate closely with Quality, Safety, HR and the rest of the Leadership Team including Production to schedule and execute equipment and facility repairs.

 

Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators to track and enhance maintenance function performance.

Specific Skills
  • 5+ years of plant equipment Maintenance (or Engineering) experience in high-speed manufacturing.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Understanding of PLC and logic controls for high-speed operating equipment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / TPM / Continuous Improvement required.
  • Experience in Food/Beverage/Medical Device/Pharmaceuticals/Consumer Packaged Goods or injection molding is a plus.

Additional Requirements
  • MUST have experience with high-speed manufacturing.
  • INDUSTRY: Food / Beverage is ideal. Other industries that would work include: Medical Device, or Pharmaceuticals, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), or other similar high-speed, precision industries.
  • At least 5 yrs of relevant experience if they come from Food/Beverage industry. More experience is needed if it's not from these industries.
  • A degree is NOT required.
  • Leadership experience is essential. This person will lead a large group of 26 people and need to mentor and manage 4 directly (Supervisors).
  • Strong technical knowledge of maintenance in manufacturing operations is required with the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Experience in leading and Establishing Lean and other CI initiatives is essential. Please do not send anyone who does not have a good experience leading and implementing CI initiatives like predictive and preventative maintenance.
  • Spanish - a big plus but not required/. (75% of the plant is Hispanic).
Note: Ideally would prefer local candidates but if person has food or beverage plus everything else they need, they will relocate them. Great relo package.
